Welcome! This compilation represents a selection of some books I’ve read. I hope you find my reviews interesting.

Trilogy

Jon Fosse

The author’s narrative style immersed me in the story, transporting me to the Norwegian fjords. I could feel the cold of late autumn, the hunger, the dashed hopes, and the passion of a young couple. The narration was so vivid that it has its own voice.

Stoner

John Williams

This piece quietly and profoundly captures the essence of a seemingly ordinary life. It illustrates the universal theme of humanity’s innate ability to discover and evolve, guided by the driving force of passion. It’s a book that makes you think about the quiet resilience that can be found in a life dedicated to one’s passions.

The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement

Eliyahu M. Goldratt

Alex’s fight to rescue his plant has taught me valuable lessons about operational efficiency. The understanding that significant change occurs when the process is viewed as a system and not individual parts, is a key takeaway. These challenges transcend the production plants and occur in our daily lives, something that I particularly apply.

The power of regret

Daniel H. Pink

This book prompted me to reflect on how, when things deviated from the expected course, I consoled myself by thinking, “Well, at least it wasn’t that bad.” It also made me confront the moments of regret stemming from less-than-ideal decisions. It encouraged me to stop between what was intended and what happened, examining the at least and if only scenarios that accompany each choice. Analyzing potential outcomes isn’t about avoiding risks, it’s about confronting them thoughtfully.
